You will be responsible for the inspection of scaffold erections and modifications to ensure safe and sturdy scaffolding. To maintain, control and ensure all relevant documentation is available for scaffolding structures.
Responsibilities:
Ensure full compliance with all company procedures and policies.
Undertake a regular schedule of inspections for all scaffolding structures.
Manage all the dimensional data for scaffolding structures, such as height, width and weight.
Take accountability for ensuring that scaffolding modifications required are undertaken.
Conduct health, safety and quality audits on scaffolding structures as required by the site.
Ensure all scaffolding structures comply with the client’s health and safety requirements.
Use the required systems and tools to undertake effective scaffold inspections.
Manage risk, issues, dependencies and lessons learned effectively on all projects.
Check, inspect, rectify and certify all scaffolding before use.
Monitor and ensure all daily work practices are in place.
Stop any unsafe practices and immediately report any unsafe conditions, providing advice on preventative measures for unsafe acts and conditions.
Requirements:
Appropriate CISRS Card – Advanced Scaffold Inspection (SITS) and Advanced Scaffolder.
Minimum 10 years’ experience in the scaffold industry.
Minimum 3 years’ scaffolding inspection, supervisor or foreman experience
Experience in managing risks, issues and opportunities, and mitigating risks identified.
Ability to work independently to solve problems pertaining to scaffold.
Knowledge of Layher systems
Ability to think quickly and implement safety practices.
Ability to understand technical drawings and plans.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
