The Scaffolding Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, safety, and delivery of all scaffolding operations across multiple sites. This role ensures scaffolding works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with all relevant legislation, company standards, and client requirements.
Responsibilities:
Plan, organise, and manage scaffolding works from tender stage through to completion
Coordinate labour, materials, equipment, and transport to meet project timelines
Oversee erection, modification, and dismantling of scaffolding structures
Ensure works are completed in line with drawings, method statements, and risk assessments
Liaise with clients, site managers, engineers, and subcontractors
Ensure full compliance with HSA/HSE regulations, company policies, and industry best practice
Prepare, review, and approve RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements)
Conduct site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
Investigate incidents, near misses, and implement corrective actions
Ensure scaffolding inspections are carried out and documented correctly
Requirements:
Advanced Scaffolder / Supervisory Scaffolding qualification
SMSTS or SSSTS
Safe Pass (IRE) / CSCS (UK)
Full clean driving licence
First Aid certification (desirable)
Proven experience in scaffolding management or senior supervisory role
Strong knowledge of scaffolding systems and techniques
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong understanding of health & safety legislation
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Commercial awareness and problem‑solving skills
