Finance Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced finance professional to oversee the financial management and reporting of the Scaffolding and Events divisions. The successful candidate will manage a small team in the day-to-day activities, month-end close, forecasting and audit as well as work closely with the business commercial team to understand and manage project financials. This role requires a dynamic professional with strong financial acumen, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and detailed commentary on variance analysis and key performance indicators
Supporting the delivery of annual budgets as well as weekly, monthly and quarterly trading forecasts
Build a strong relationship with the commercial team in order to understand revenue and cost drivers and lead detailed financial reviews of relevant projects
Coordinate and contribute to the preparation of single-entity financial statements
Ongoing development of cross function relationships to maintain & improve the flow of key information, ensuring the delivery of on time and internally consistent data
Communicate with divisional management to address queries and attend monthly divisional review
Support audit processes by providing financial data, addressing queries, and ensuring compliance with internal and external requirements
Working capital management, focusing on debtor collection and WIP minimisation
Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance financial reporting and operational efficiency
Cash flow forecasts - weekly and monthly and provide a review of bank and creditor reconciliations
People management and development (performance reviews, objectives setting, training, succession planning etc)
Review VAT and PAYE/PRSI returns along with the examination and analysis of the Fixed Asset Register and fixed asset verification
Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Health and Safety procedures within your work.
Requirements:
CIMA/ACCA/ACA Qualified Accountant
5+ years of post-qualification industry experience
Construction or related industry experience
Good commercial knowledge
Experience with Microsoft Business Central and Solver preferable
Excellent analytical with a high standard of numerical skills
Data Analysis
Proficiency in accounting software.
Broad knowledge of accounting principles.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
