Traffic Management Safety Officer

The position of the TM Safety Officer is to be responsible for the working with the Traffic Management team to schedule on-site delivery of the Traffic Management deployments including scheduling, logistics and crew management.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning and execution of multiple key sites simultaneously
Manage all aspects of the TM operation from initial briefing to reconciliation
Liaison with the design team to transform client briefs/concepts into workable design drawings
Travel for site inspections and on-site management to ensure full coordination of logistics and on-site teams
Execution and completion of all works within the agreed programme, specification and budget
Develop, agree and maintain contract files for any potential claims that may occur.
Ensure a daily record, as agreed with the Resource Team is kept.
Advise the client on extra works and agree variations to the contracts.
Responsible for maintaining good employee relations with direct employees and actively contributing to all employee related matters.
Monitor all agency workers and report any issues to the agency contractor
Work with the team to ensure adherence to the client’s standards of operation
Support and develop other team members and ensure all required training is up to date
Ensure knowledge is shared within the team to enable them to work smarter and more efficiently
Create and closely monitor value adds at every opportunity
Share knowledge of best practices, new suppliers, services and venues
Ensure and maintain excellent safety and quality standards
Have a pro-active Health, Safety and Environmental culture and promote safe behaviour with all team members.
Be proactive with ideas and creative solutions
To undertake any duties assigned by your manager which are consistent with the job holder’s expertise.
Requirements:
SLG Certification
5 years Traffic Management experience
Technical knowledge working in Traffic Management
Proven ability to think innovatively to bring programs to fruition
Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Resourceful individual with the ability to take direction and work independently
Strong team player and ability to manage large teams on-site
Strong leadership experience in motivating colleagues in a manner that enhances working relationships through positive communication and encompasses the company brand and values
Ability to effectively operate within diverse, cross-functional groups in a fast-paced culture
Highly accurate, detailed oriented, and has strong follow-up
Work on ad hoc requests as required, typically during quiet times
Strict and accurate adherence to company’s time tracking policies and systems
Assume responsibility for own environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies while having clean smart surroundings
