Trainee Lineworker

The Trainee Lineworker will join a power-division team responsible for maintenance and renewal of overhead electrical line equipment and associated power-supply systems. Under supervision, you will assist experienced Lineworkers and Site Supervisors to ensure safe, reliable delivery of electrical infrastructure.
Previous experience in construction, utilities, agriculture, mechanical work or general operatives is highly beneficial
Responsibilities:
Assist qualified Lineworkers with maintenance & repair of overhead power lines.
Support installation of poles, stays, conductors and associated line hardware.
Use tools, equipment and PPE safely.
Work at height using harnesses, ladders, poles and MEWPs under supervision.
Participate in daily safety briefings, toolbox talks and risk assessments.
Report hazards, near misses, and safety concerns promptly.
Follow instructions from the Person In Charge of Work (PICW) and site supervisors.
Keep work areas clean, safe and compliant.
Travel to various work sites, including rural and remote locations.
Additional duties as required to support the team and project operations
What You Need:
Full, clean Category B driving licence.
Ability to pass a colour-vision assessment.
Good literacy, numeracy and verbal communication skills.
Strong manual dexterity, coordination and spatial awareness.
Physically fit and comfortable with manual labour and outdoor work.
Willingness to work at height and in varying weather conditions.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
Punctual, reliable and safety-conscious attitude
Experience working outdoors or in physically demanding environments.
Familiarity with basic hand tools or small plant.
Demonstrated interest in the electrical, engineering or utilities sector.

What To Expect:
Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
