Access Officer

An Access officer is tasked with visiting worksites in advance of planning and addressing any access issues in advance of outages being requested.
Responsibilities:
- Visit all worksites in advance of work being planned
- Speaking with land and property owners to gain permission for line crews and poling crews to property
- Identify any challenges that maybe encountered accessing worksites and report back to PIW
- Document any MV/Transmission/Telecoms crossing and assist in creation of BX forms
- Work with project team to overcome any issues/problems identified in advance of outage taking place
- Ensure access is possible to all worksites in advance of outage being requested
- Escalate any access issues that arise
- Adhere to and maintain compliance with all Health and Safety procedures within your work
Requirements:
• Proficient in use of Arc GIS an advantage
• Knowledge of ESB Networks required
• Proven ability to work independently and make sound judgements on a day-to- day basis regarding assigned and ad hoc duties
• Strong interpersonal skills required to persuade and build consensus and cooperation
• Reliable timekeeping and attendance
• Ability to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary
• Ability to represent the company on technical and operational issues in a professional and courteous manner at all times
